After a smash first year in 2025, the Wilton Historical Society’s Food Truck Festival returns this Sunday, May 31, from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Enjoy great food, immersive experiences and community unity, all while supporting Wilton’s museum. Come to Schenck’s Island and Chess Park to feast from a collection of the area’s finest food trucks, with all proceeds to benefit the Historical Society.

The festival will also include live music, historically inspired games and crafts, face painting, and more! Live music provided by The Mojo Rhythm Kings and Rubberband.

Tickets are available to purchase online ahead of time and at the event day-of! Wilton Historical Society members receive a discount on early ticket purchases.

Admission is $5 per child (under 18), $10 per adult. Tickets are required to participate in games, demonstrations and to purchase food from the food trucks at an additional cost.

GOOD To Be Part of Wilton’s America 250 Parade: Wilton Seeks Participants for July 4th Celebration

Organizers of Wilton’s special celebration of America’s 250th birthday are inviting community members to be a part of the special plans being made. Most prominently, they’re hoping Wilton residents and organizations will participate in the town’s July 4th Parade.

The parade will start at 11 a.m. in front of the Stop & Shop Plaza on River Rd. It will proceed through Wilton Center along Old Ridgefield Rd. and Hubbard Rd, ending at the Town Green. There, the celebration will continue with a reading of the Declaration of Independence, live music and celebratory cupcakes to honor the historic milestone.

Families and children are also invited to join the parade with a Bicycle Brigade Contest, with decorated bikes, trikes and wagons to show a patriotic spirit!

“Whether through a float, marching group, music, historical reenactment or a creative display, your participation helps make this tradition meaningful for the entire community,” said Parks and Recreation Department Director Steve Pierce, who is co-chairing the parade with Pam Brown from Wilton Congregational Church.

To participate, contact Parks and Recreation before June 20, 2026, via the Parks & Rec website or via email. Email Pierce or Brown with any questions.

With the statewide effort taking place over three days (Wednesday, Jun. 3 to Friday, Jun. 5), the Wilton leg of the run will take place on Friday, Jun. 5, starting at approximately 10:30 a.m.

Members of Wilton’s finest will start from the WEPCO complex (48 New Canaan Rd.) and make their first stop at Miller-Driscoll Elementary School before heading down Wolfpit Rd. and into Wilton Center. Runners will continue through the Town Center to Ridgefield Rd. and make their way back to Wilton Police Headquarters at 240 Danbury Rd.

GOOD Art to Inspire: Wilton Library Presents “What Brings Us Together: Posters About Community, Connection and Care” Art Exhibition

Credit: Erwin Ong

Wilton Library will present a vibrant new art exhibition, “What Brings Us Together: Posters About Community, Connection and Care,” by local artist Erwin Ong. On view from Monday, Jun. 1 through Thursday, Jul. 9, the library will host an opening reception on Friday, Jun. 5 from 6-7:30 p.m. that is free and open to the public with refreshments served.

The exhibit grew out of a crosswalk mural Ong designed for Wilton Pride in 2025 in front of the Wilton Family YMCA. Library officials said that the mural was created with the help of community members of all ages and inspired those who experienced it, inciting heartfelt and celebratory responses for its joyful colors, uplifting message and spirit of togetherness. Its impact lives on through Ong’s new poster series, which will be on view in both the gallery and reading areas of Wilton Library.

Through his studio, A Duck Amuck, in White Plains, NY, Ong’s work spans illustration, murals, sculpture, ceramics and mixed media. His work has been exhibited throughout New York and Connecticut, and he has created public murals in Yonkers, White Plains and Wilton.

A majority of the works on display in the exhibition will be available for purchase with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the library.
