Happy 2014!

Truth be told, we’re just a little sad to say goodbye to 2013–after all, it is the year we launched GOOD Morning Wilton, back on Aug. 19. And what an amazing (half) year it’s been!

Most importantly, 2013 proved to be the year that so many of you said, “Yes!” to a change in the kind of news you want to read, by clicking on GMW.com on your screens, welcoming our daily newsletter into your inboxes and sending us news tips and story ideas.

Close to 1,000 unique people check out our website every day. There are 475 who have signed up to make sure they get their Wilton news from GMW‘s daily newsletter. And we’re only 50 people away from 1,000 likes on our Facebook page. And those numbers are steadily growing. For a website that’s less than 6 months old, covering news in a town with a population of 18,000 (12,500 adults), that’s pretty incredible.

For that we say, “Thank you!”  Thank you for supporting the mission of getting people more engaged in the important issues affecting Wilton, beyond the gossip and trashy bad news. Thank you for supporting the local businesses we feature. Thank you to the advertisers that took a chance and believed in the GMW mission. Thank you to the writers who have helped bring the stories to life. Thank you all for helping make a difference.

As we do say goodbye to 2013, we look forward to even bigger and better things in 2014. More great stories you won’t find elsewhere, from a perspective like no one else has. We’ll keep bringing the news that matters to Wilton, as told by people who live in Wilton, in a daily, fresh way, when you want it. It’s the news that matters, the news you deserve.

Happy New Year, Wilton!
