Have a Ball at Wilton Soccer Fall Kick-Off

The Wilton Soccer Association is hosting a Fall Season Kick-Off at Lilly Field on Saturday, August 24 at 6 p.m.  The family event is open to players of all ages and will feature  skill challenges, games, food and music.  An on-site prize raffle will include Red Bulls tickets, Knicks tickets, Yankees tickets, a $300 Sports Authority gift card and many more items.

Earlier in the afternoon the WSA will run its first ever “WSA Intra-Club 3v3 Tournament” from 4-6 p.m. The tournament will be a round robin format of 10-minute games leading to age-group championship games played under the lights at Lilly Field at 6:30 p.m. Each team will play a minimum of six games during the two hours, with prizes awarded for the top team in each age group.

The tournament is open to girls and boys in 1st through 8th grades. Players can form 3-person teams prior to the event or be placed on a team at the event. Registration fees are $20 per player, which includes an entry into the WSA prize raffle ($5 value) at the Kick-Off that evening.

For registration and more information on both the Kick-Off and the tournament, visit the Wilton Soccer Association website.

According to an email sent out by the organization, the Kick-Off event is the primary fundraiser for the WSA, and “supports our ability to provide access to a great soccer program for all families within our community.  We encourage all players to wear their jerseys and to come out to the event and support their club.”
