Late Wednesday evening, Oct. 9, Democratic Rep. Jim Himes (CT-4), who represents Wilton in Congress, released a video message endorsing Democrat Deb McFadden for first selectwoman. McFadden, a current member of the Board of Selectmen, is challenging the incumbent Lynne Vanderslice in this November’s municipal election. The two women vied for the job four years ago as well.

In his video endorsement, Himes says that, “Deb understands that a town like Wilton needs a vision, a vision for the future which includes economic development, so that our tax base grows, but it’s economic development that keeps the unique character of the town of Wilton.”
