Thirteen area chapters of the League of Women Voters in Fairfield County will present a debate between incumbent Democrat Jim Himes and Republican John Shaban, candidates for the U.S. House of Representatives 4th Congressional District, on Sunday, Oct. 23. The event, free and open to the public, will be held 5-6:30 p.m., at the Wilton High School Clune Auditorium, 395 Danbury Rd./Rte. 7.

Himes lives in Cos Cob/Greenwich and Shaban lives in Redding. Both candidates have accepted the invitation to this event. The debate facilitator is Jara Burnett of LWV Greenwich.

Stamford’s Kay Maxwell, a former president of the League of Women Voters of the United States and currently executive director of the Stamford-based World Affairs Forum, will moderate the debate.
