Historical Society Readies for ‘Objects of Desire’ Preview Party
Just last year, the Wilton Historical Society debuted its successful two-day home furnishings show, “Objects of Desire: Style for the Garden and Home,” bringing a carefully edited, eclectic mix of outstanding pieces for the garden and home to Wilton. The show returns for a second year on June 1 and 2, and kicks off with a Preview Party Gala fundraiser on Friday, May 31 from 6-8 p.m..
The event showcases mid-century, vintage, antique, contemporary, one-of-a-kind garden accents, fine furniture, found objects, art, decor and accessories, all beautifully presented by 20+ top dealers on the grounds of the Historical Society, with proceeds benefitting the Society.
The Objects of Desire Preview Party Committee met recently to work out details for festivities. While enjoying delectable hors d’oeuvre from Barcelona, Preview Party attendees have a chance to shop a carefully edited, eclectic mix of outstanding pieces for the garden and home. New this year is a VIP Reception beginning one hour (5-6 p.m.) before the party doors open to the rest of the attendees; the reception will be hosted by Design Chair Phillip Thomas and the Design Committee.
Preview party tickets cost $125; party plus the VIP Reception tickets are $250 (inclusive). For more information and to buy tickets, visit the Wilton Historical Society website or call 203.762.7257.
