To the Editor:
On Sunday, Oct 1, we celebrated our 17th Annual Ambler Farm Day. Thousands from our community came to this annual festival that is a wonderful Wilton autumn tradition and an important fundraiser for the farm.
We would like to express our sincere appreciation to our invaluable volunteers who make Ambler Farm Day such a success—from Scarecrows to Hay Maze, Concessions to artisans–and everything in between–it was a pleasure to work with you, thank you! We also greatly appreciate our volunteers who made pies and other baked goods.
We would like to thank our event sponsors: GOOD Morning Wilton, The Montessori School, Fairfield County Bank, Ryan Cornell / William Pitt Sotheby’s, Outdoor Sports and Realty 7.
We would also like to acknowledge the generous support of the following businesses, organizations and individuals: Ambler Farm Apprentices, Aspetuck Apple Barn, Blue Jay Orchards, Bob’s Your Uncle Band, Erin Woolard, Georgia Davala, Girl Scouts, Naked Greens, Jared Silbersher, Kuss Farms, Stateliness Landscaping, The Painted Cookie, College Creamery, Bob Russell, Town and Country, Town of Wilton, The Turnover Shop of Wilton, Uncle Leo’s, Village Market, Wilton CERT, Wilton Volunteer Ambulance Core, Wilton Dept. of Public Works, Wilton Family Y, Wilton Fire Dept., Wilton Historical Society and Wilton Parks & Recreation.
Last but not least, a special thanks to program director Kevin Meehan and director of agriculture Jonathan Kirschner. This event could not happen without the countless hours you spend sharing your time and talents with the farm.
A final thanks to everyone who came out and attended Ambler Farm Day. We hope you had a wonderful time, and that we will see you again next year or any time you stop by the Farm!
