To the Editor:

Wilton government et. al. remains a mess.

I am not surprised to learn that Dawn Savo plans to move on, apparently ASAP.

Candidly, while her resume is extensive, I’m not without concern for the quality, thoroughness and credibility of the job she has done in a limited tenure as Wilton’s CFO.

One thing is absolutely clear: she was from the get go Toni Boucher’s lackey and behaved with what can certainly be described as arrogant contempt for Wilton’s Board of Selectmen and Board of Finance among others. Not unlike the person to whom she vowed total allegiance.

The audit has been filed and 2025 is supposedly now cleaned up, so to say. Excuse me if I suggest one best take this news advisedly and with eyes wide open.

It is simply sad to see how in a relatively short time frame Wilton government has dissolved into the quicksand of Toni Boucher.

Creditable, transparent governance has disappeared from town.
