Researcher and author Dr. Lisa Miller, professor of psychology and education and director of the Clinical Psychology program at Columbia University, will be speaking at Wilton Congregational Church on Sunday, Nov. 20, about the latest research on the positive impact spirituality has in the lives of children and teenagers. She will also offer concrete ways in which parents and grandparents can become better nurturers of children’s spirituality and resilience.

Miller is the author of The Spiritual Child:  The New Science on Parenting for Health and Lifelong Thriving. Her research has been published in JAMA Psychiatry, The American Journal of Psychiatry and the Journal of the American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. She is a frequent guest on CNN, Fox News, and MSNBC.

Miller will be interviewed at the church’s 10 a.m. worship service and will give a talk at a luncheon from 12-1:30 p.m. at the church. The cost of the luncheon is $20, which includes a copy of The Spiritual Child.
