The Miller-Driscoll Building Committee is holding a regularly scheduled meeting today at 5-7 p.m. at the Wilton High School Library. As most town commissions do, the building committee has scheduled time at the end of the meeting for public comment.

**Correction: An earlier version of this article incorrectly identified the meeting location as the Wilton Library. It will take place at the Wilton High School Library, on the mezzanine level.

The M-D building committee is the group appointed by the Board of Selectmen to overseeing the process of how the town will renovate and improve the school’s physical structure.

According to the published agenda, at today’s meeting the commission will be reviewing and evaluating the design options that have been prepared by the architects, Tai-Soo Kim Partners.  TSK will be presenting comparisons based on facility elements, and M-D principal Cheryl Jensen-Gerner will review the options based on teaching and learning impact. There will also be someone from Turner Construction reviewing construction phasing options as well as temporary classroom requirements.

Among the topics the committee plans to address at today’s meeting, “security” and “HVAC” are mentioned specifically on the agenda.

Notably, there is a bullet point on the agenda that mentions “Other Options.” Given the recent uptick in attention the question of the school’s indoor air quality has received, and the questions that some parents have asked about renovation versus rebuilding, it will be interesting to see if that topic comes in front of the committee during this item discussion.

The committee will also be reviewing “Communication and Community Outreach.” The committee has planned a website with FAQ and media outreach to keep the public informed as the project progresses.
