The Spring Minks to Sinks sale starts this Saturday, May 5 bright an early at 9 a.m., and Janel Cassara, the Minks to Sinks 2018 chairwoman, expects shoppers to line up even earlier.

“So many shoppers come to this sale every spring and fall because they know they’ll find bargains on everything they need for their homes and families,” she says. “Minks to Sinks is the best place to find great deals on gently used and new items, from Cuisinart and Delonghi kitchen appliances, to Simon Pearce lamps, sofas and dressers from Lillian August, Restoration Hardware outdoor furniture, Trek and Cannondale bikes and other sports equipment, seasonal clothing, luggage, musical instruments, video equipment, artwork, jewelry, antiques and sterling silver, collectibles, and so much more. We get so many top quality brands. And we always have a few minks and sinks!”

Cassara notes that the sale wouldn’t happen without the hundreds of thousands of fabulous items that area residents bring to the sale to donate and consign or the hard work and long hours that the over 190 volunteers put in to organize, price and display all of this merchandise. Minks to Sinks has been supporting recycling and reusing years before the phrase “reduce, reuse, recycle” became an environmental mantra.

Proceeds of Minks to Sinks benefit the Family and Children’s Agency, the Norwalk-based non-profit organization offering many important programs to help families in need. The 2018 Minks to Sinks Spring sale opens at 9 a.m. on Saturday, May 5. Bargain days are Sunday, May 6, from noon-4 p.m. and Monday, May 7 from 9-11:30 a.m.; Monday is also bag day–fill up a bag for just $7.

The sale is located at the intersection of School Rd. and Route 7/Danbury Rd.; just look for the big white tents. For more information and directions, please visit the Minks to Sinks website.
