Another pretty active week (January 22-28) is in store for Wilton, featuring rain and warm weather at the start, sunshine and cooler temperatures in the middle, then another warm, beautiful weekend.

Monday, Jan, 22:  Our next storm system will begin to move in to start the new week. Expect a few light rain showers from time to time during the day. Otherwise it will be a cloudy, damp, and mild day with temperatures topping off into the low 40s.

Tuesday, Jan, 23:  Widespread rain associated with this storm moves in today. A light to moderate rain throughout the day, especially in the morning, is forecast, although only around half an inch of rainfall is expected. At least it won’t be a cold rain because it will be balmy outside. High temperatures will likely surpass the 50-degree mark due to a strong, southerly flow of mild air.

Wednesday, Jan, 24:  A cold front will clear out this ugly weather but will give way to another cool down. This air will only be a few degrees below average unlike the previous blasts of cold air we have dealt with. Temperatures will only drop back down to average in the upper 30s, but it will turn even cooler later on in the week. Enjoy the seasonable temperatures today with mainly sunny skies.

Thursday, Jan, 25:  Thursday will be a beautiful-looking day with plenty of sunshine outside but it will be chilly out, with temperatures struggling to surpass the freezing mark as the brief shot of cold air peaks.

Friday, Jan, 26:  Starting today, temperatures will go on the climb again. We’ll get back up to around average to end the week with quiet conditions and sunny skies.

Saturday, Jan, 27:  Another nice weekend overall is in store. On Saturday, it will be a mostly sunny day with high temperatures up to the mid 40s.

Sunday, Jan, 28:  Sunday will be even warmer with high temperatures forecast to be at around 50 degrees. At this time, however, out next storm system will begin to approach. We are still a week away so the timing is very uncertain, but a few afternoon showers are forecast to sneak in, as of now.
