Whether you have moved here recently, have lived in Wilton for a couple of years, or have experienced a lifestyle change, the Wilton Newcomers Club (WNC) is a great way to meet people and get involved in the community. The club has a series of upcoming events in the next two weeks for current members as well as other Wilton residents interested in learning more about joining:
- Tour of the Wilton Firehouse: Thursday, Aug. 25 at 4 p.m.
- Backyard Bash: Saturday, Aug. 27 from 8-11 p.m., at a private residence
- Ladies’ Bunco Night: Thursday, Sept. 1 at 7:30 p.m.
- Boo Hoo/Woo Hoo Brunch (First Day of School) Tuesday, Sept. 6 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
Interested participants can registration for any of the events on the WNC website.
Founded in 1965, the Wilton Newcomers Club is a non-profit social club that serves families living in town. The club offers a wide variety of activities and events throughout the year to suit its diverse membership, including dinner groups, morning coffees, monthly luncheons, adult socials, playgroups, working moms group, and family events.
WNC appeals to a broad range of members, which include couples, families, stay-at-home parents and working parents. The club’s website details WNC activities and events; members can participate in club activities and events on an as-desired basis. Members are also welcome to get more involved, either as volunteers to help out during events, organize an activity, or serve on the Board.
Prospective members are welcome to attend the monthly morning coffee to see what the Wilton Newcomers Club has to offer.
Dues are $150 for a three year membership paid once at the time of sign-up. Members may elect to add additional years to their membership at $40 per year. Dues help defray some costs of running WNC. Some activities and events have an additional cost to participate.
