Two Person-to-Person Opportunities to Help Fight Food Insecurity this Weekend in Wilton
Person-to-Person (P2P) is a Norwalk- and Darien-based community-supported agency that provides emergency assistance for basic needs, and support for needy individuals and families as they move towards stability. They are organizing two events this weekend to help members of the area community.

The first Wilton-based event is the Wilton Postal Food Drive this Saturday, Nov. 21. Letter carriers in Wilton are delivering grocery bags and suggested shopping lists to all postal customers this week in advance of the Food Drive on Saturday. People are encouraged to leave a bag of groceries at their mailbox this Saturday morning or drop it off at the Wilton Post Office on Hubbard Rd..
Organized by Wilton letter carrier Alan Horowitz, the donations collected during this food drive will stock the shelves of the P2P Food Pantry.
Then on Sunday, Nov. 22, Open House Gift Shop is holding a benefit for P2P. The store will collect non-perishable items for the P2P Food Pantry from 12-5 p.m., and donate 10-percent of all sales on that day to P2P. Open House is located at 9 Center St..
