This Saturday, Nov. 21, the Wilton High School Varsity Field Hockey team will compete for the Class L Championship Title. They face off against Cheshire on Saturday at 2 p.m. at Wethersfield High school.

Friends of Wilton Warriors Sports have arranged for free student transportation to the game on Wilton fan buses (Wilton school buses privately contracted from STA). Students will need to bring $5 for game tickets and money for food but the ride is free. There will be an adult on each bus. High school students can ride without an accompanying adult but younger kids will need to ride with a responsible grown-up. All students will be required to sign in when getting on the bus (and have a cell phone with them) and will be expected to abide by the Wilton High School student conduct guidelines.

Musicians and musical instruments are strongly encouraged. Organizers say that at last year’s final game Wilton’s opponent brought their entire football team to cheer. They’re calling on the students to, “not let them overpower the voice of WARRIOR PRIDE again this year,” adding, “We need you there.”

According to information on the sign up website, the bus rides are not school sanctioned so rider liability rights against the organizers are being waived by the rider and their parents in exchange for the free ride.
