21-Year-Old Wilton Man Wins Entrepreneur Award

MaxFanwick

Wilton resident Max Fanwick has been selected as one of the winners of the first ever Milli Awards at the age of 21. The Milli Awards were created by WestFair Communications, publishers of Fairfield County Business Journal and Westchester County Business Journal, to recognize exceptional millennials (ages 21-34) living or working in Westchester and Fairfield Counties.

Categories for the Awards include community, medical, green as well as the category for which Max was selected⎯“Millipreneur” (entrepreneur).

The 22 Millennials winners will be recognized on Nov, 17 at an awards banquet in their honor at Chelsea Piers in Stamford. Westfair described the event saying “Our upcoming inaugural event, ‘Top Millennials’ in our region recognizes inspiring leadership, results and accomplishments. It is a very talented pool of entrepreneurs, professionals, community leaders, and experts who have transformed industries and our communities.”

Fanwick founded his company, Explorator Media, when he was only 19 years old, while attending college at Franklin Pierce University in Rindge, NH. Explorator Media helps businesses of varying sizes create and bring to date their digital assets such as websites and social media to help them gain better customer awareness. He has led his company working with both local and national brands including Vanilla Star Jeans, Katnip Marketing, The Peterboro Basket Co., Dr. Mary’s Kitchen, and The Golfer among others.

Fanwick said he “founded the company while doing freelance web and marketing work when he realized most companies did not have the resources to bring together all the components needed to create successful online marketing campaigns. Those often require graphic designers, social media experts, programmers and more.” By creating a business with these assets readily available, companies could more efficiently spend their investment and get better returns than by trying to build their own team.

About Explorator Media: Explorator Media helps companies create and manage their digital presences to better connect and stay in contact with their target markets. Explorator Media provides a wide range of services such as web development, search engine optimization and social media management designed to aid in companies’ digital marketing efforts. The company, originally named Designs to the Max, expanded and evolved as client needs grew and, earlier this year, Max changed the name to Explorator Media to better reflect the wider scope of services.
