Ryan Christopher Healey, 19, son of Gregg and Bridgette Healey of Wilton, went to heaven on June 30, 2021, after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born in Norwalk, graduated from Wilton High School, and was a freshman at Lafayette College.
Ryan was a confident and compassionate young man. He loved competing and leading by example as an athlete — first in football and baseball, then later in track and field (taking after his Aunt). He was respected and loved by his teammates and coaches. During the summers, he could not wait to get to Cape Cod to boogie board, lifeguard, and spend time with friends and family in the sun and surf.
Ryan was also an entrepreneur, creating his own business building and selling gaming PCs. He had such an analytical mind — well suited for his engineering major.
Most importantly, Ryan loved God. His strong faith shined throughout his life and sustained him in his last days. His fight and belief in Jesus’ healing were amazing these past 10 months. We lost a wonderful young man, but heaven is rejoicing.
Ryan will be greatly missed by his siblings Claire and Connor, who were his best friends. He is also survived by his grandparents, Peter and Alma Healey of Concord, MA; William and Sandra Dahl of Wilmington, NC; his aunts, uncles, and cousins: Heather, Stephen, Luke and Alexandra Martiros of Sherborn, MA; Jason, Jennifer, Bennett, Joceyln, William and Audrey Dahl of Wilmington, NC; Kent, Adrienn and Flynn Healey of Roselle Park, NJ; Miles and Alanka Healey of Manhattan Beach, CA.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, July 6 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 41 Easton Rd., Westport.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Children’s Rescue Mission in Honduras or St. Paul Christian School Scholarship Fund.
Our deepest condolences to the Healy family. May Ryan Rest In Peace.
We are deeply saddened to hear this news. Ryan touched many lives with his kindness.
