What a beautiful day it was on Saturday, May 17 when Wilton celebrated 60 years of Little League baseball in town. Hundreds turned out to cheer the sport and the league, with games, derbies and good old-fashioned fun.
As part of the festivities, Wilton resident Steve Pettit–who played on the first Little League team back in 1954–threw out the first pitch. Wilton Little League (WLL) organizers also handed out awards to current players who have played every season, from T-ball through majors; to Rosen Chiropractic, which has been a WLL sponsor for the last 27 consecutive years; and to Ryan Siegel, a current WLL player who donated bone marrow last year to his little brother, Cole.
