Wilton is pretty far from Hawaii, but a just-opened restaurant is bringing a little bit of Hawaii to Wilton.

Pokéworks, a national restaurant brand, is opening its newest location in Wilton, at the Gateway Plaza (14 Danbury Rd.). Already serving customers everyday from 11:30 a.m.-9 p.m., the company will celebrate the official grand opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, Aug. 23, 2018, at 11 a.m. and will provide a free signature bowl to the first 50 customers in line at 11:30 a.m. that day.

Update:  The ribbon cutting ceremony and grand opening has been postponed until September, and a date will be announced in the coming weeks.

Poké is a Hawaiian dish made with a base of diced or raw fish. It’s often served in combination with rice, vegetables, sauces and toppings. Pokéworks offers build-your-own poké bowls, poké burritos, poké salads and unique regional options with a variety of proteins, sauces and toppings to choose from.

GOOD Morning Wilton had a chance to visit the Gateway Center location last week, and manager Craig Drimal helped us learn just how good poké can be. Plus check out our photos of the Wilton location, below!
