Members of the Kiwanis Club of Wilton showed up in force Sunday, Sept. 25 at the Wilton Historical Society property to unload a tractor trailer full of Halloween pumpkins. In total, there were more than 2,000 pumpkins delivered in preparation for the Club’s annual fundraising pumpkin sale.

Pumpkins will be available for purchase starting today, Monday, Sept. 26, continuing until Halloween. Kiwanis members will be on hand to help Wiltonians choose the perfect pumpkin weekdays 12-5 p.m., Saturdays 9 a.m.-5 p.m., and Sundays 12-5 p.m.. Proceeds benefit the many charities that the Kiwanis Club supports, including the American Cancer Society, American Home Front, Family and Children’s Agency, Stay at Home Wilton, Nursing and Home Care, Trackside Teen Center, Wilton Volunteer Ambulance Corps, CERT and more.

On Sunday, Kiwanis members used the old fashioned “bucket brigade ” to unload the truckload of pumpkins.
