Wilton Children’s Theater (WCT) has opened registration for the fall and winter shows for the 2017-18 season. The productions this year will be Willy Wonka (Fall 2017) and Oliver! (Winter 2018). More information about the program can be found on the WCT website.

Children entering grades 4-8 in Sept. 2017 are eligible to participate in one of two shows. Each production spans 10 weeks during the school-year. This musical theater experience provides children with an exceptional opportunity to sing, act and dance under the guidance of a professional staff.

Production schedules requires participants to attend three 2-hour, after-school rehearsals per week, culminating in three performances. Enrollment is limited to 55 children per production.

The fall production runs September-November, and rehearsals are held Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at Middlebrook School. The Winter show runs January-March, and rehearsals are held Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at Middlebrook School.

Auditions:  Sept 12, 13 and 15
Rehearsals:  Every Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, 4:30-6:30 p.m., beginning Sept. 19,
Fall Performance dates:  Friday, Nov. 17 at 7 p.m.; Saturday, Nov. 18 at 4 p.m.; and Sunday, Nov. 19 at 2 p.m.

WINTER Production:  Oliver!
Auditions:  Dec. 5, 6 and 8
Rehearsals:  Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 4:30-6:30 p.m. beginning Jan. 3
Winter Performance dates:  Friday, Mar. 16 at 7 p.m.; Saturday, Mar. 17 at 4 p.m.; and Sunday, Mar. 18 at 2 p.m.

To participate in the program, children must be Wilton residents, regardless of the school they attend.

There are three ways to register:

  • Register on-line and then mail in payment and required forms by Friday, Sept. 1
  • Print and fill out the off-line registration form on website then mail in payment and required forms before Friday, Sept. 1
  • Complete the registration process onsite at the in-person registration days, Wednesday, Sept. 6 and Thursday, Sept. 7 from 4:30-7 p.m. in the Middlebrook School cafeteria

In the event of over-enrollment for a show, a lottery will take place on Thursday, Sept. 7. All children will be notified of their acceptance into the program by 12 noon on Friday, Sept. 8.
