Residents: Report Problems with “SeeClickFix” While Out & About this Spring
Spring is in the air. Taking a walk on a town trail? Watching a game at a town field? Enjoying a warm spring day at a town park? Town officials are encouraging Wilton residents to take along SeeClickFix, the web and mobile app used to report non-emergency issues, such as trees down across a trail, playground equipment problem at the schools, or litter in the parks. By using the app, the problem will be reported directly to the appropriate Town of Wilton department to be addressed and resolved.
With the free SeeClickFix web based and mobile app tools, residents can provide the Wilton departments with pictures, videos, specific descriptions, and any other valuable information needed to get the job done efficiently. Residents can also view, comment on, and vote to fix problems submitted by their neighbors and create their own “watch areas,” enabling the app to send notifications about all issues reported in their neighborhood and allowing them to follow the progress of all service requests—not just those they report themselves.
The SeeClickFix platform also provides officials with a centralized issue management system to manage issues from creation to resolution. It lets town employees stay engaged with town residents throughout the entire process.
Late last month, SeeClickFix released an updated, new mobile app, SeeClickFix iOS 5.0, with a complete redesign and feature upgrade. The new app will make 311 reporting even faster and easier, improving accuracy and efficiency with features such as the ability to get a location from photos, identification of potential duplicate issues while reporting, and improved mapping and geo-locating to help build stronger communities and more efficient government.
