The Wilton Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting ceremony at Café Ruche, Wilton’s newest restaurant, located at 101 Old Ridgefield Rd., Town Green.

Café Ruche officially opened its doors to the public earlier this year, as a gathering place that promotes a balanced, sustainable lifestyle through food, fitness and the power of connection. The French-inspired café is generating a buzz with Wilton residents and those from surrounding towns.

Among the delectable options are signature salads, sandwiches, soups, crêpes, pastries, innovative specials and a full service coffee bar. Just this month, Café Ruche expanded their offerings to include a dinner menu, which includes savory crepes, fondue, pates, filet de boeuf and roasted salmon, among other entrées. With dinner currently being served on Friday and Saturday evenings, Café Ruche is building on its dinner scene by adding a full service bar with wine, beer and craft cocktails.

With an interesting twist, the Café also has Studio Ruche, which offers a flexible, creative schedule of fitness classes. A core class structure leaves room for creative, fitness-boosting alternatives both in and out of the studio. Popular with Wilton residents is their Community Yoga Class on Saturday mornings at 11:00 am, which is free.

After the ribbon cutting, the Chamber’s executive director, Janeen Leppert, said, “We are thrilled to officially welcome Café Ruche to our vibrant dining scene. Whether you are enjoying a sweet or savory crepe, a signature cocktail, or a hot cup of espresso, Café Ruche brings a quaint, European charm we are fortunate to have right here in Wilton.”

Café Ruche is open Sunday through Thursday from 8 a.m.–6 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m.–9 p.m..
