The Board of Education recently posted an announcement on the Wilton School District’s Edline website, asking for parental input on the search for a new school superintendent. There is a link to a survey for parents to complete, to give feedback on what they feel is important in a new superintendent.

The bulleted announcement, posted at the top of all pages on Edine, reads: “The Board is very interested in your input as they seek to hire a new superintendent.  This survey is designed to gather your perception on the importance of various characteristics commonly found in effective superintendents.  The information will be used by the Board to determine the “Desired Characteristics” of our next superintendent.

The link to the survey can be found here.

In addition, the BoE will be hosting an open forum for community members to share their thoughts on the selection of a new superintendent, on Tuesday, Oct. 29 at 7 pm, in the Middlebrook School Auditorium.

Current schools superintendent Dr. Gary Richards announced his retirement, effective Dec. 31, this past August.

GOOD Morning Wilton readers are also invited to add their thoughts on what they’d like to see in a new superintendent in the current “Question of the Day.
