The Peace and Service Committee of Wilton Friends Meeting (Quaker) will hold a screening of Breaking Down the Box, a 40-minute documentary exposing the torture of solitary confinement. A panel discussion will follow the film, and will include people directly affected by solitary confinement in Connecticut. There will also be a replica solitary prison cell on display.
The screening is free and open to the public; coffee and dessert will be served.
The event is being held on Saturday, April 23 at 7-9 p.m.. It is being held at the Wilton Quaker Meeting House, 317 New Canaan Rd..
