‘Tis the season to be caring for Circle of Care. That’s what a group of local business owners is saying by hosting a Holiday Sip-and-Shop event to benefit the Wilton-based cancer charity. The event is scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 13 from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. at a private home at 115 Pine Ridge Rd..
Circle of Care provides practical, emotional and financial assistance to Connecticut families with children living with and fighting cancer. Through their programs and services they help meet the unique and challenging needs of pediatric cancer patients undergoing treatment.
The event is being organized by Wilton resident Janet Montalbano, a hair stylist and makeup artist who owns Let’s Make Up by Janet Montalbano. “My passion on earth is to make a difference, so when it comes to the holiday season of giving and the passion of caring, this was the answer. If we can help make a difference for at least one family whose child has cancer–those words alone must be devastating to hear,” she says.
Celebrity radio talk show host Wendy Sloane from “What’s Up with Wendy” will be part of the special event along with the following local businesses: J. Hilburn, Nod Hill Designs, Queen Beads, Nari skin care, Dolly Deebs readings by Dolly, GG Soy candles, Nod Hill Soap, Susan Kane Catering, Four Legged & Fabulous, Pastry Hideaway and of course, hair care products and promotions from Let’s Make Up by Janet Montalbano.
There will also be silent auction items donated by local vendors. The public is invited to stop in, browse and shop and have a bite and toast to celebrating the season of caring and Circle of Care.
