Following an inaugural supply drive last fall that raised over $1,200 in school supplies for the United Way of Coastal and Western Connecticut, Emperor Tutoring, a tutoring company run by Wilton students, is hosting a Back-To-School Supply Drive for the Domestic Violence Crisis Center (DVCC).
The DVCC provides counseling and advocacy services for victims of domestic violence and their children. Their mission is to prevent and eliminate domestic violence by educating local communities and supporting individuals in building safer lives.
According to the DVCC website, “Often domestic violence victims flee with their children and have little or nothing but the clothes on their backs. Having the right back-to-school supplies can help these children to succeed in school.”
Emperor Tutoring will place donation boxes at local organizations and small businesses starting Monday, July 29, and will accept donations until Wednesday, Aug. 28. The student organizers hope Wilton residents will consider purchasing extra school supplies to donate when shopping for items over the next few weeks.

Donors can drop off items at the following Wilton locations:
Riverbrook Regional YMCA (404 Danbury Rd.)
Trackside Teen Center (15 Station Rd.)
Rise Doughnuts (28 Center St.)
CT Coffee and Grill (16 Center St.)

Wilton Dental Associates (44 Old Ridgefield Rd., Suite 212)
