The Taste of Wilton returns for its 10th year on Monday, April 3. The annual event, sponsored by the Wilton Chamber of Commerce, showcases what Wilton restaurants, food and beverage vendors and local chefs have to offer.
This year, the event is being held in a new location and according to Chamber executive director Debra Hanson, will feature more exhibitors than ever before. Moving the Taste of Wilton to the WEPCO campus at 48 New Canaan Rd. will provide a larger hall to accommodate the growing list of Taste participants.
On the list thus far to say they’ll be participating are The Schoolhouse at Cannondale, Bianco Rosso Wine Bar and Restaurant, Craft 14, Cactus Rose Restaurant and Tequila Bar, Marly’s Bar and Bistro with Palm Breweries, Georgetown Package Store, Lombardi’s Trattoria, Wilton Pizza, Greenhook Ginsmiths, Sweet Pierre’s and The Painted Cookie. Hanson says that list will grow as exhibitors finalize scheduling. (Exhibitors interested in participating can still sign up to be part of the event. Contact Hanson by email or at 203.762.0567 by March 21.)
Attendees will enjoy a wide array of delectables, specialties and samples showcased by the food and beverage purveyors. It’s a great opportunity to sip, swirl and savor the finest that local restauranteurs, chefs, culinary personalities, mixologists, bakeries, and liquor and specialty food retailers have to offer.
In addition the Wilton Chamber has teamed up with Star 99.9 and the Fox 95.9 to provide promotion, ticket giveaways and on site musical entertainment.
The event is scheduled for Monday evening, April 3, from 5:30-8:30 p.m.. Tickets are on sale now at the Wilton Chamber of Commerce office (86 Old Ridgefield Rd.), Fairfield County Bank, the Village Market and on the chamber website. Tickets are $30 per person purchased in advance, or $35 at the door.
