This week (May 15-21), I am very pleased to share with you that an entire week of beautiful weather is on the way, following weeks of below average temperatures and unsettled weather. It’s finally going to feel like spring!
Monday, May 15: On Monday, the full-on spring warmth won’t be with us yet. I’m treating Monday as a transition day because the pattern will be changing with low pressure moving out and a ridge of high pressure moving east to the East Coast. Due to that pressure gradient, it will be a windy day, with gusts up to 30-40 mph. That wind will make the actual high temperatures in the mid 60s feel more like the mid 50s, and that will come with partly cloudy skies in the morning to mostly cloudy skies in the afternoon. Those clouds should then clear out in the evening, leading to a beautiful sunset.
Tuesday, May 16: Tuesday will be a different story because winds will be considerably calmer and temperatures will be much warmer, rising up into the mid 70s. Of course the question is whether that warmth will come with sunshine, and in this case it will–in fact it will come with lots of sunshine.

Wednesday, May 17: Getting into Wednesday, temperatures will continue to go up, up, up, all the way up to the low 80s, which is about 15 degrees above the average high of 67 degrees. Once again, those temps will come with sunny skies. What a great day to head outside and enjoy the great outdoors!
Thursday, May 18: Thursday will be the hottest day of the seven day stretch. Highs will be in the upper 80s or possibly 90 degrees, which is July-like heat–not to mention it will be kind of humid, making it feel uncomfortable under the mostly sunny skies. This will be a GOOD day to make up for all the chilly days we’ve had so far this month.

Friday, May 19: Finally by Friday to finish off the workweek, keep the shorts, t-shirts, and flip-flops on as the warm air will remain in place. It will be “cooler” with highs back down to the mid 70s, similar to Tuesday, but it will still be very nice and comfortable. Skies will be sunny all day long. I strongly suggest you make a dinner reservation to sit outside because it will be a perfect evening for that!
Saturday, May 20: Another sunny day and a beautiful weekend is in store. On Saturday, expect sunny skies with temperatures right around average in the low 70s.
Sunday, May 21: Then on Sunday, expect partly cloudy skies and highs in the low 70s once again. There is the slight chance for a rain shower, but other than that another gorgeous, spring day is in the forecast.
