The Town of Wilton has recently launched a Wilton Geographic Information System (GIS) service available to residents, business owners, and local government on the Town website under Planning & Zoning Department, Assessor Department, or Town Clerk. The service will provide easy, one-stop access to GIS-related resources including property parcel data, topography, wetland information, aerial photography, and transportation routes.
Residents, business owners, and real estate professionals can now search by name or address to find information on a property including ownership data, parcel shapes, zoning data, wetland information, abutters, valuation data, sale history, building area, and construction details as well as a quick map of the property. The service also enables users to create abutters lists. Wilton GIS pulls together available property information in one place and makes it easily accessible on-line.
“Wilton’s GIS service will make property data open and easily available to all including both current and prospective residents and business owners.” said Lynne Vanderslice, First Selectwoman.
