The Wilton Episcopal Presbyterian Complex (WEPCO) (48 New Canaan Rd.) will serve as the new location for the Wilton Health Department/Visiting Nurse and Hospice of Fairfield County (VNHFC) COVID-19 vaccination clinics. Second dose clinics are scheduled to begin at a clinic at WEPCO this week and continue into early March.
“We are very thankful to WEPCO for their willingness to host COVID-19 vaccination clinics. The interior space of the facility lends itself well to clinic set up and operation. This is a great service to the Wilton community.” First Selectwoman Lynne Vanderslice said.
“This pandemic season has been such a strain on all of us and on our community as a whole. Vaccines give us hope that we can protect our community and begin to return to a more active life together,” said the Rev. Marissa Rohrbach, Rector of St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church. “We are so delighted to share our space and our resources at WEPCO to be part of this hopeful solution, in service to our larger community. As communities of faith, our work and our life together is all about hope, so we are glad to be able to give this hopeful gift to Wilton.”
Her colleague, Rev. Shannon White, Pastor, Wilton Presbyterian Church, echoed those sentiments.
“We couldn’t be happier to open our space to be a part of our community’s healing response to this pandemic. As we all work together to do what we can to move in and through this difficult time, we rely on each person/group to do what they can. This is one way our congregations can participate so that we can move toward a brighter, more hopeful future together,” White said.
