Children’s author and Wilton resident Rob H. Hunt will be signing copies of his new book, Kyle Evans and the Deadly Plague, at the Toy Chest this Saturday, Dec. 3.

This book is the second installment of an exciting new trilogy about a boy, his cat and his friend Sofia (signed copies of the first book–Kyle Evans and the Key to the Universe–will also be available). After narrowly escaping from an alien zoo, Kyle is looking forward to a normal life once again. Unfortunately for him and his best friend Sofia, his troubles have only just begun. A blue dot that suddenly appears on his elbow signals the beginning of another crazy adventure featuring hungry Gomes, sneaky Pliskins, the mysterious Azda Fains and, of course, the cat who is not a cat–Bootles.

Hunt, the dad of three boys between the ages of 6-13, has been enjoying his second career as an author, especially writing books for a tween and teen audience. “This was a very fun book to write,” he says, “and my team of ‘Advance Readers’ really enjoyed it. I can’t wait to see what the rest of the world thinks!”

The first book in the Kyle Evans trilogy was enthusiastically reviewed, receiving an average of five stars on Goodreads.com and Amazon.com.

The signing will take place Saturday from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Toy Chest (5 River Rd.). Kids (and their parents) will have the opportunity to meet the author, chat with him about his stories and writing, and purchase signed copies of both Kyle Evans book, all while supporting their local toy store!

For those who are unable to attend, the books are also available at bookstores everywhere and online at Amazon.com and Barnesandnoble.com.
