The new week (December 18-24) will be off to a mild start with above average temperatures, but Wilton’s weather will cool down again with the potential for more snow around Christmas.
Monday, Dec. 18: On Monday, there is the chance for a few snow showers during the predawn hours, so a quick coating of snow cannot be ruled out, but then during the day it will turn dry and mild with temperatures rising up into the mid 40s. Morning clouds will clear to at least some sunshine during the afternoon.
Tuesday, Dec. 19: On Tuesday, there is the slight chance for a rain or snow shower but otherwise it will be a mild and dry day with a mix of sun and clouds, combined with highs temperatures that are finally above average into the upper 40s.

Wednesday, Dec. 20: Wednesday will be a beautiful day, although cooler and back toward average with a high in the upper 30s. Mostly sunny skies will make for a splendid day of weather as high pressure moves in from the west.
Thursday, Dec. 21: There is a storm that will be nearing the Northeast on Thursday, but high pressure overhead will suppress the storm to the south, keeping us dry and sunny.
Friday, Dec. 22: The next chance for rain arrives on Friday with yet another storm. It does appear to be a warm system with temperatures in the 40s, but it’s still early so the chance for snow definitely exists.
Saturday, Dec. 23: The pattern will remain very active into the weekend as we approach Christmas. There is a significant amount of uncertainty with this forecast so understand that it will likely change. We’re going to be right on the freezing line this weekend while another storm moves in, so there is the chance for rain or snow showers Saturday afternoon.

Sunday, Dec. 24: Then on Sunday, there is another chance for rain or snow but that’s all I really know at this time.
Christmas Preview: Are we going to have a white Christmas? There is the chance snow will fall on Christmas day, but in terms of snow on the ground, I will give it a 40% chance at this moment.
