Congratulations to Wilton High School freshman A.J. Eustance, who won first place in the Accounting competition at the Future Business Leaders of America state competition on Monday, April 4.

Kathy Soderholm, the high school’s new Business teacher and advisor to the Future Business Leaders of America chapter, took club members to their first ever state competition, which was held in Cromwell. The competition has been held for many years at the state and national level. High schools from across the Connecticut bring chapter leaders each year to compete in business, computer studies and leadership categories in a variety of different formats (tests, presentations, etc.). Future Business Leaders of America—Phi Beta Lambda, Inc. is the largest career-based student organization for both high school and college students who are interested in careers in business and leadership studies.

Eustance and Soderholm may have the opportunity to attend the national competition at the end of June in Atlanta, GA to compete against other state champions from around the country.
