Erin Bronner, a member of Girl Scout Troop 50153 in Wilton, has earned her Girl Scout Gold Award, the highest award in Girl Scouting. Bronner, soon to be 18, is a senior at Wilton High School.
For her Gold Award Project, Bronner created a new video about Confirmation for the Diocese of Bridgeport. The video, “Confirmation, the Holy Spirit and You,” can be viewed on YouTube. The video has a modern format with a “by teens, for teens” feel in order to help young people better connect with their faith. The project, which took over 100 hours to make, features interviews with other teens, footage of Erin’s pilgrimage to Lourdes, France, and her original music.
At Wilton High School, Bronner is a member of the National Honor Society, recipient of numerous medals for excellence in Greek and Latin and the recipient of the Denison Book Award for academic achievement, service and interest in English. She is active in the Madrigals, a cappella, improv and the theater program. Bronner sings in the C4Y Diocesan Youth Choir and at Our Lady of Fatima teen mass, and has sung in Western Regionals and the ADCA Honor Choir.
Erin says she is grateful to Father Reggie Norman, pastor of Our Lady of Fatima in Wilton, for his guidance.
