It’s not just for those kids who don’t want to grow up–NBC is banking on everyone to watch their live version of Peter Pan, this Thursday evening, Dec. 4, at 8 p.m.. Starring Allison Williams as ‘Peter’ and Wilton resident Christopher Walken as ‘Captain Hook,’ the live production is as much must-see TV for the family fun as it is to see what happens live.

Wilton’s Walken has had a varied career, so perhaps it’s no surprise he’s taken on this challenge of live musical TV, even at age 71. The singing, dancing, scenery-chewing and hook-wearing will be right up his alley for an actor who got his stage start off-Broadway with Liza Minelli, and who built a reputation for playing charismatic, quirky, scene-stealing characters in both drama and comedy.

He began his career as a child actor on TV, and went on to appear in more than 100 film and television productions, winning an Academy Award as Best Actor in The Deer Hunter.

Will you watch Walken on Thursday?
