Wilton Congregational Church welcomes kids to go boldly into summer at the church’s weeklong summer camp — Superheroes of the Faith — from June 17-21. One week after Wilton Public Schools conclude the year and kids are bursting with energy, Wilton Congregational campers will gather for a week of fun as they learn about heroes who were daring and fearless in their faith.
Children ages 4 through fourth grade participate as campers, while middle and high school students get in on the fun as camp counselors.
Each day of the one-week program will focus on a hero of the faith: figures from the Hebrew Bible and the New Testament who were bold, courageous and valiant. Those heroes and their stories will come alive through games, music, art and science — and even a themed snack for the day!
“Camp is an exciting way for some of our older kids to model faith formation and inclusive fun to our youngest,” Wilton Congregational Church’s Rev. Caroline Hughes said. “We’ll be outside at Merwin Meadows for camp, so it’s sure to be an action-packed week!”
To register a child for Superheroes of the Faith camp, contact Rev. Hughes via email by the registration deadline of Friday, June 7.
Summer camp is just one offering for children and youth at Wilton Congregational Church. On Sunday mornings during the school year, kids of all ages participate in Church School, a nurturing environment for children to experience God’s love and participate in the life of the church. On a weekly basis, elementary and middle school students meet for youth group. High school students gather bi-monthly for service projects and fellowship events, and participate in a weeklong travel mission trip.
