Rep. Jim Himes is expected to attend the Wilton Democratic Town Committee Barbecue this Saturday, Sept. 10, along with other state officials, including CT’s comptroller Kevin Lembo and Carolanne Curry, who is a candidate running for the 26th congressional district state senate seat. Wilton residents are invited to attend Saturday’s barbecue from 12-3 p.m. at Merwin Meadows (52 Lovers Ln.).

“During what is likely to be the most critical election of our lifetime, it’s more important than ever to be informed about the races and interact with the candidates,” says DTC chair Deb McFadden. “Join us this Saturday for good discussion and a good time.”

Picnic fare–hamburgers, hot dogs and veggie burgers—as well as soft drinks will be served.

Tickets purchased in advance are $40 per adult, $10 for children and students under 18, $100 for a family, and free for children under six. Tickets will also be available at the door for $50/person ($10 children/students). To purchase tickets online visit the DTC website.
