The following was compiled from a press release from the Wilton Democratic Town Committee.

Learn more, Serve more. That’s the theme of the Wilton Democratic Committee (DTC)’s new outreach campaign called “Serve Wilton 2015.” The DTC is inviting local residents to participate by learning more about the many opportunities to serve Wilton on our elected and appointed boards and commissions.

As part of the “Serve Wilton 2015” campaign, the Wilton DTC will host multiple events over the next several weeks. Residents will be able to meet those currently serving on Wilton’s boards and commissions and learn more about the important work they do in service to the town. A dedicated group of over 70 Wilton Democrats currently serves on local boards and commissions.

The DTC will also be reaching out to local organizations and the community at large in an effort to spread the word.

“Wilton is what it is because of the dedication of residents who step forward and volunteer to serve on our boards and commissions. We hope to give residents the opportunity to learn more and serve more. Whether new to town, or a longtime resident, there are opportunities to get involved both now and in the future,” said Wilton DTC Chair Tom Dec.

In the coming months, the Wilton Democrats will be assembling a slate of candidates for Fall 2015, when voters will head to the polls to select candidates for public office, including first selectman. Candidates for Wilton’s Board of Selectmen, Board of Finance, Board of Education, Planning & Zoning, Zoning Board of Appeals, and Constable will also appear on the ballot.

Interested individuals are welcome to any of the following events and meetings:
