The Wilton Democratic Town Committee will hold a Grand Opening of its campaign headquarters at 300 Danbury Rd. on Friday, Sept. 14 from 6:30-8:30 p.m..
The storefront headquarters, located in the previous Dermage Spa location in the Crossways Shopping Center where Danbury Rd./Rte. 7 and Ridgefield Rd./Rte. 33 intersect, will be “mission control” for the DTC’s election efforts between now and election day.
According to an email from the DTC, the location will serve as campaign headquarters for Congressman Jim Himes as well as for the three local candidates—Will Haskell, Ross Tartell, and Stephanie Thomas—running for the CT State Legislature.
“It is the perfect site for the enthusiastic participation and commitment we’ve witnessed among Democrats for this important mid-term election,” said DTC Chair Tom Dubin. “Wilton Democrats are engaged and putting in the time and effort to change a troubling political landscape. The headquarters will serve as an important resource in those efforts.”
The public is welcome at the grand opening ceremony on Friday.
For those interested in volunteering or picking literature or lawn signs, the headquarters will be open weekdays 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., Saturdays 10 a.m.-6 p.m., and Sundays 1-6 p.m..
The story has been updated to add a quote from the DTC chair and hours the headquarters will be open.
