The Wilton Democratic Town Committee (DTC) will welcome Secretary of the State Denise Merrill as keynote speaker at its Annual Spring Breakfast on Saturday, April 6. Attendees can look forward to special insights on “Elections:  Expanding and Securing the Vote,” which will cover the Secretary’s early voting proposal and related thoughts about increasing voter participation, as well as cyber security and its role in elections.

The DTC will also present awards to two Wiltonians at the breakfast:  John Kalamarides will be honored with the Democratic Leadership Award, and Ross Tartell will receive the Democrat of the Year Award.

Tom Dubin, chair of the DTC, said the event is a celebration of the involvement of Democrats in the Wilton community.

“This breakfast is our annual opportunity to honor Democrats who have dedicated their time and energy to not only the Democratic Party, but the greater Wilton community. It is particularly gratifying to recognize John and Ross, who have both exemplified the spirit of civic duty and participation in the democratic process.”

The breakfast will take place at Trackside Teen Center (15 Station Rd.) at 9-11 a.m.. It is open to all. Tickets are available on the DTC website for $35 and at the door for $40. Student tickets are $10.
