UPDATE 11:15 A.M. — Kim Healy (R) has conceded the race for State Representative 42nd District to Savet Constantine (D). Unofficial final results from the CT Secretary of the State show 100% of the precincts reporting with a result of 6,549 votes for Constantine (51.3%) to 6,224 votes for Healy (48.7%).
Healy sent a copy of her concession speech to GOOD Morning Wilton. In it she thanked supporters for their work knocking doors and making calls, and said she was proud of the campaign she ran and “the community we’ve built along the way.”
Congratualting Constantine, Healy said, “I respect the work she has done to earn the trust of our community. Our differences in approach only emphasize the shared commitment we both have to see Connecticut thrive.”
She added that while she may not be headed to Hartford, she was successful nonetheless. “While we didn’t cross the finish line, our message was heard, and our movement endures. We stand for quality education for all, economic prosperity for CT residents and businesses, and recognizing the importance of local control as best practice for zoning. Those values remain as vital as ever. I am committed to continuing to advocate for these causes, because the work doesn’t end here.”
Constantine said she is honored to have been elected in a statement sent to GMW as well, and thanked voters and volunteers who supported her campaign.
“Over the course of this campaign, I’ve come to appreciate what matters most to the people of our community regardless of party or political affiliation. I also want to acknowledge Kim Healy for her willingness to serve our community. Kim and I spoke this morning and I hope to work with her and the rest of the Wilton, New Canaan, and Ridgefield town boards so we can work together to get great things done for our community. I am excited and very ready to go to Hartford and work hard representing the interests of all my constituents,” she said.

Maher sent a statement on Wednesday morning.
“I’m honored to be re-elected to represent Wilton and the other towns of the district. I extend my thanks to all the voters who came out to vote, the Registrars, poll workers, and volunteers on the ground, who upheld the work of democracy. I look forward to continuing my work in Hartford for children, the environment, and a strong and safe CT where all rights are protected and reproductive freedom is maintained.”
Evans said she called Maher Tuesday evening to concede and congratulate her on being reelected for a second term.
“I said, ‘God bless you these next two years, and have so much success serving our District,'” Evans told GMW in an email, adding that she’s considering running again, although she didn’t specify for which office. “It was a fantastic opportunity to run for State Senate in District 26. Now, I am looking forward to running again. 2025 has so many opportunities; watch this space.”
