Boucher ‘One of Few’ to Get CT State Police Union Endorsement

Dear Senator Boucher,

On behalf of the men and women of the Connecticut State Police Union, we are pleased to inform you that you are one of the few elected state officials to receive our official endorsement this year. This endorsement comes as a result of your continued support for public safety and the issues our union has faced in the past. Your commitment to public safety and trooper safety is truly appreciated by the entire union membership.

We trust that we will continue to work together on matters of mutual concern and public safety. Together, we can make the State of Connecticut a safer place for all who live in, visit or travel through our great State.

We wish you great success during the upcoming elections. Please feel free to contact us if you need our support during the coming sessions.

Be safe,

Andrew Matthews, Esq.

CBIA Says Boucher will ‘Continue Work on Strengthening CT Economy’

The Connecticut Business & Industry Association (CBIA) recently endorsed Toni Boucher for the state senate, representing the 26th District. CBIA president/CEO Joe Brennan made the following statement:

“This upcoming legislative session will be one of the most critical we’ve faced as our economy continues to recover slowly, lagging behind the region and the country, We must elect candidates who understand the urgency facing our state, and will make the decisions necessary to grow the economy, create jobs, and help Connecticut reach its full potential.

“Because of that, we’re pleased to endorse Toni Boucher as she will continue to work on strengthening Connecticut’s economy. Toni understands the need to get Connecticut back on track. She has made the difficult decisions in an effort to keep Connecticut competitive and has served her constituents well.”

Boucher Endorsed by Connecticut League of Conservation Voters

The bipartisan Connecticut League of Conservation Voters endorsed State Sen. Toni Boucher (R-26th) for re-election.

In endorsing Senator Boucher, CTLCV executive director Lori Brown, said “Connecticut’s economic and environmental quality of life have always depended on our natural resources. We are counting on our endorsed candidates to champion smart environmental policies that will protect these irreplaceable assets.”

Earlier this year, Senator Boucher was cited by the Connecticut League of Conservation Voters for a 100-percent perfect voting record on bills related to the environment. She has also been endorsed by the Sierra Club.

In response to the endorsement, Senator Boucher said, “I take great pride in receiving this endorsement from the Connecticut League of Conservation Voters. I am fully committed to the preservation of our state’s land, air and water resources and, accordingly, have championed and supported legislation for clean water acts, brownfield remediation, open space preservation and the Long Island Sound Protection Fund. I fought to reduce air pollution by upgrading our mass transit systems and encouraging use of electric vehicles, and I wrote legislation to establish a Greenway along the Route 7 and the Norwalk River.Connecticut’s natural environment is one of our state’s greatest equities, and we must preserve it now and for the future.”

CT Association of Realtors Supports Boucher

The CT Association of Realtors issued a statement of support for State Senator Toni Boucher.

Joseph Krist, Chair, RPAC Trustees said:  “Our choices go those who are staunch allies in our efforts to promote and protect the American Dream. Our ‘endorsement’ means that the candidate processes those attributes favorable to free enterprise, private property rights, and housing opportunities and choice. It means that we will inform our 15,000 members and families of the Connecticut Association of Realtors that [she has] the ‘seal of approval’ of the realtors…that we’ll encourage them to support [her] in their individual capacities.”

Boucher Endorsed by National Federation of Independent Business

The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), the leading small business association both in Connecticut and the country, endorsed State Senator Toni Boucher (R-26th) today in her campaign for re-election.

In a statement issued jointly by Andy Markowski, state director, NFIB/Connecticut and Wendy Traub, chair, NFIB/CT SAFE Trust Committee, the NFIB proclaimed to Boucher, “Your voting record over the last two legislative sessions on key issues important to small business indicated that you will continue to be committed to the needs of thousands of Main Street small businesses and their employees in Connecticut when you are re-elected to serve in Hartford.”

In receiving the endorsement, Boucher commented, “I’m extremely pleased that the NFIB has endorsed my campaign. I firmly believe that if we are to restore Connecticut to the vital, thriving state we once were, we must create an environment where businesses can grow and create jobs so that families can prosper. As the founder and former owner of a small business myself, I understand that what these people need is for our government to reduce the current tax burdens and regulations that make it so difficult for them to operate in the state. I remain committed to fighting for legislation that will do that.”
