The Wilton Fire Department will once again hold a memorial service on September 11, to pay tribute to Wilton residents and emergency responders killed in the attacks on Sept. 11, 2001. The memorial service will take place tomorrow at the department’s headquarters in the town hall complex, 236 Danbury Rd..
The ceremony will commemorate the 14th anniversary of the attacks and will involve members from all branches of Wilton’s emergency services. It will take place at 10 a.m., by the town’s 9/11 Memorial Monument which stands in memory of the five Wilton residents who were killed in the attacks as well as all other citizens, firefighters, police and emergency first responders who gave their lives that day.
Wilton residents are invited to attend.
