The 5th Annual Wilton Go Green Festival returns this Sunday, May 3  from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the Wilton Town Green and Wilton Library parking lot. Admission is free, and the fun also returns with live entertainment, delicious local food, and more than 80 exhibitors!

There are many features, attractions and activities:

  • Learn the latest in solar incentives, organic gardening and sustainable home living.
  • Check out the eco-shopping area and the festival’s fabulous silent auction.
  • See the newest in electric vehicles when the Westport Electric Car Club rolls into town.
  • For festival-goers of all ages, there will be face painting, creative crafts and Cyril the Sorcerer with magic tricks.
  • Have papers that need shredding or a mattress that needs recycling? City Carting will be on-site from 11 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. for shredding, and mattress recycling will be available from Greater Bridgeport Community Enterprises from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. to jump start your spring cleaning!

Plus, be sure to catch the festival’s first-ever dog parade–or better yet, bring your favorite furry canine friend and join in! There will be special prizes for winners in these categories:  Best Eyes, Most Energetic, Best Outfit, Best Behaved, Tallest, Smallest and Fluffiest Tail.

Register dogs for the parade at the Clear Conscious Pet Exhibit. All registered participants will receive dog treats at the end of the parade. Dogs line up at 2 p.m. in the Library parking lot. (All dogs must be on a leash and respectful to all other parade participants.)

Representatives from Blue Buffalo and South Wilton Veterinary Group will serve as judges.
