Prepare to be entertained! Wilton High School will play host to the premiere of “Late Night Wilton” this Friday, June 5 with a one-night variety show packed with exactly that–a variety of bold, amazing entertainment. A take-off of shows like Saturday Night Live and The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, the program features an eight piece live orchestra, comedians trained by Second City alumni, award winning vocalists, and the student body theatre group.

“Its essentially a fusion of our wildly popular improvisation show in the winter and musical production in the spring, all presented in this really intimate format of a live talk show,” explains Harry Wendorff, the student president of the WHS theatre program. “Trust me, you’re not going to want to miss Late Night Wilton.”

The show will only be staged for one night, so audiences can expect an improvisational type experience. The orchestra will play highlights from WHS’s last three spring musicals, all of which were incredibly successful and popular productions. The show will also feature vocalists, including Caitlin Witty, who most recently stared as Gueneviere in WHS’s Camelot. Another vocalist, Ben Seneff, who played Romeo in WHS’s Shakesperean classic Romeo and Juliet, will be doing a duet with Witty.

Witty says, “It’s so fun to get to choose our own material and create something as fun for the audience as it is for us. This new format will be absolutely wonderful and really highlight the talents of the school.”

All proceeds will support improving the theater program at Wilton High School and hiring professional actors to work with students. In addition, funds will help the program create a new website to facilitate ticket sales and promote shows. Admission is free, and no advance reservations are necessary. Refreshments can be purchased with a donation, and products from businesses around Wilton will be raffled off.

Curtain time is Friday, June 5, at 7 p.m..
