Congratulations to the Wilton Library Association, which had a significant end-of-fiscal-year fundraising goal of $233,000 to hit–and it did just that as of Wednesday, June 26!

When GOOD Morning Wilton wrote about the library’s request for financial support from the community 10 days ago, we told you that at that point, the library was still $31,000 behind their goal, or more than $2,200 a day. We asked, and the community–especially GMW readers–stepped up. Just 36 hours after our story ran, the gap fell to just $16,000–or almost 50% of what it had been just the day before! We heard from library officials with special thanks for GMW–they told us that our coverage was a big part of that success.

Fast forward to Wednesday, June 26, and development director Courtney Lilly emailed to let us know the GOOD news, that the fundraising goal had been reached. Bravo and many thanks to all those individuals who donated to help the Wilton Library continue to do what it does for the community!
