Wilton Library’s hard-working book sale volunteers are preparing for the library’s annual Gigantic Book Sale Fundraiser on April 25-28. Donations are being accepted through Friday, April 10. Donation bins are located on the Godfrey Pl. side of the building.
Items that cannot be accepted are cassettes of any kind, books on tape, magazines or encyclopedias.
The sale itself begins Saturday, April 25. From 7 – 9 a.m. early buyers are admitted with the $15 admissions fee; the public is admitted free 9 a.m.–5 p.m.. The hours on Sunday, April 26 are noon–5 p.m.; on Monday, April 27 shoppers are admitted from 10 a.m.–5 p.m. and books are half-price; on Tuesday, April 28 hours of admittance are 10 a.m.–2 p.m. and everything remaining is priced at $5 per bag.
There will also be a silent auction on Saturday and Sunday of the sale.
The annual sale features more than 70,000 items sorted in more than 50 categories, including: art books, mysteries, gardening, travel, and science fiction; gently used, new, collectible, rare books, DVDs, CDs, books on CDs; something for everyone.
On Saturday, the Rotary Club of Wilton will sell hot dogs and sodas at lunchtime. All proceeds benefit the Wilton Library.
