MONDAY, July 20: Wilton Police have notified local media that the individual in the photo they released last week has been identified, and that they no longer need help in identifying him. They have also said they will no longer be providing further information to the media, in a statement emailed from the department’s press officer, Lt. Stephen Brennan: “At this time it is an open investigation and may lead to a juvenile matter.”
FRIDAY, July 17: Wilton Police are asking for the public’s help to identify a suspect in a counterfeit cash case. They are looking for information on the subject seen in this photo.
According to police, a white male subject attempted to cash a $100 bill at a local CVS on June 13. The cashier did not accept the currency but took custody of the bill. The $100 bill had the markings, “For Motion Picture Use Only” in the upper right corner of the bill. Other similar bills were found cashed at other local businesses.
