Acting police chief Robert Crosby announced that the Wilton Police Commission voted to promote Sgt. Robert Kluk to Lieutenant. There is a town hall ceremony this morning, Friday March 20, at 9 a.m. to officially promote him.
Kluk’s promotion means the department once again is fully staffed at the Lieutenant rank, following the retirement of Lt. Donald Wakeman at the beginning of March. Lt. Stephen Brennan replaced Wakeman as head of the detective bureau and public information officer, and Kluk will be a patrol commander. The third lieutenant in the department is Lt. Thomas Conlan.
Kluk joined the Wilton Police Department in 1999. As sergeant, he oversaw the records department.
